GOLF SAFARI IN THE LAKE GENEVA REGION
8 Days / 6 Nights
Hotels and Restaurants (PDF)

Day 1 Sunday
Arrival in Geneva. Your assistance will be awaiting you on arrival and escort you to your rental car company, located in the arrival hall. Get to know more about your upcoming trip, receive all the necessary information and roadmaps. Day at leisure for independent activities. This evening, you will enjoy a folklore dinner show at the typical Restaurant Edelweiss. Round-trip transfers included, where necessary. Overnight at the hotel of your choice in GENEVA.

Day 2 Monday
Buffet breakfast. You play one round of golf at superb Château de Bonmont. Overlooking the Geneva lake with magnificent view on the Mont Blanc and set in an outstanding environment, the Bonmont course is one of the very best in Switzerland. Don Harradine, the well-known course architect, has created an outstanding challenge for golfers of all standards. This course is favoring the draw because there are many doglegs to the left. Par 71, HC required 30. Balance of day at leisure to get to know GENEVA on your own, the international city, to see the waterjet, symbol of Geneva, the Old town clustering round St. Peter's Cathedral, the shopping center, and the international organizations. Overnight.

Day 3 Tuesday
Buffet breakfast. You play one round of golf at Divonne Golf Club in nearby France. Divonne is an original course. Overlooking Lake Geneva, Divonne is a mid-mountain course, which is not too tiring when the weather is not too damp. The woody surroundings are very pleasant (especially in autumn) and at the very least can help change a rotten round into a pleasant walk. Divonne might be a little too tough for very high handicappers but it does allow golfers of all abilities to play together. It is certainly quite some challenge for the longer-hitters, who have countless opportunities to take risks even though the course lacks strategic subtlety. At all events, this is a great stop-off over the summer months. Par 72, HC required 35. If you choose the self-drive version, we suggest an individual visit to charming LAUSANNE to see the city center with the Cathedral, Old Town, then to the lakeside and the modern interactive Olympic museum at Lausanne - Ouchy.

Day 4 Wednesday
Buffet breakfast. Morning at leisure. Afternoon wine tour by private car with driver including a wine tasting in the Geneva countryside at Levraz Stevens. Overnight.

Day 5 Thursday
Buffet breakfast. You play one round of golf at the Bossey Golf Club, also in nearby France. This course was built by Robert Trent Jones III, a typical target-golf-course, in the middle of a deep forest at the foot of the Mont Salève with a breathtaking view on Geneva. Par 71, HC required 35. If you choose the self-drive version, in the afternoon, we suggest you take an excursion to ANNECY in France, a very attractive town set on the lake of Annecy, with famous old town with canal, castle, arcaded streets and lovely shops. Overnight.

Day 6 Friday
Buffet breakfast. Drive to Echenevex in France to play one round of golf at the Golf Club de Maison Blanche. Designed by Peter Harradine and Oliver Dongradi, the course features a number of water hazards and trees, both very much in play, plus some undulating fairways (especially on the back 9). These may pose a few problems for beginners, but other players will have fun on this interesting if not unforgettable layout and at the very least will feel like having enjoyed a beautiful mountain stroll. The bunker locations might have been given a little more thoughts, as at present the sand bothers only the inexperienced player. Par 72, HC required 30. If you choose the self-drive version, in the afternoon, we suggest you take an afternoon excursion into the Geneva countryside to see the pretty wine-growing villages. You may wish to visit one of the many wine farms. Details as per separate list. Overnight.

Day 7 Saturday
Buffet breakfast. Drive to GENEVA Airport - return your car - for your flight back home.
